When communicating with other Settlers, you will encounter a frequent use of Abbreviations. This may create initial difficulties for you since you are not yet familiar with their usage. This should help you:

Abbreviations are non-RPG in essence - since they are not consistent with roleplay! RPG means "Role Play Game". The sentence: "This is only RPG." says as much as: "Hey, we are just telling a story here. Everything should not be taken so seriously."

Colonies are sometimes identified only with the letter of its Planet Class, e.g. , M-Class = Standard planet. You will find a listing of all Planet and Asteroid classes open to settlement under "Database" --> "Colony Types".

The following Abbreviations are different Types of Resources (goods and raw materials), which you can produce and/or swap:

2. Communication

The following Abbreviations will help you Communicate with other Settlers, but refer to no special Buildings, Goods, or Spaceships:

SCN	Subspace Communication Network, also for 1. "Main-Channel"
SSCN	secondary SCN: SCN Channel no. 2. "Archive of historical documents"
PM	Private Message = Transmission in Game
IGM	ingame message = within the Game
DQ	Delta-Quadrant (Part of the Galaxy, where STNE is played)
Coords	Coordinates
Ally	Alliance
Diplo	Diplomacy / Diplomat
NAP	Non-Agressionpact
FV	Friedensvertrag
